Hall Details & Charges

Please apply to the Booking Secretary for charges for Weddings, Large Parties and Charity Events in the Main Hall and the Windmill Room.

For small groups/clubs wishing to book more than 10 session in any one year there is a sliding scale of charges. Details of these are available from the Booking Secretary.

The Main Hall and the Windmill Room are available for hire every day throughout the year, normally from 9.00am until 11.30pm, when all hirers must be off site.

The Main Hall is accessed through double doors from the Foyer and is in excellent decorative order. The room was redecorated in August 2012 and the pine flooring renovated in 2013.

Maximum capacity for a closely seated audiences is 175 people. For functions utilizing seating at tables, the maximum allowed is 110 persons. These numbers should include the organizers and assistants at the event.

The Stage can be accessed by doors on both sides of the hall and measures 6m (19ft) wide x 4m (13ft) deep.

The Kitchen is well equipped and has ample crockery and cutlery to cater for groups of up to 110 people. It was recently awarded a 5* rating by the Food Standards Agency and we are currently in the process of upgrading the kitchen equipment to professional catering standards, for which there will be a modest additional charge. Hirers will have the use of a 6-plate electric cooker, warming hot cupboard, fridge/freezer and a commercial size dishwasher. There is also a small bar servery with access into the Main Hall.

The Windmill Room (formerly known as the Annexe) is situated at the rear of the hall with its own entrance and is suitable for meetings of groups of up to approximately 30 people with tables and chairs available. This room has a vinyl floor and its own small kitchen and toilets.

At the time of booking the Hirer will be required to pay approximately one third of the total hire charge as a booking fee, with the balance to be paid six weeks prior to the event. In addition a fully refundable deposit will be required, which will be returned after the event providing everything is left in good order.

For certain events there will be an additional charge for the use of the piano, stage lighting and sound and for larger events of 50 or more guests there will be an additional single charge of £20.00 per booking. These charges will be advised at the time of booking.
