West Chiltington Village Hall
West Chiltington Village Hall is located in the lovely West Sussex village of West Chiltington on the edge of the South Downs National Park. It is 2.5 miles from both Storrington and Pulborough.
The Hall has charitable status as per the original Trust Deed and is managed on behalf of the community by local volunteers who are either elected Trustees or appointed representatives. The hall receives no funding from local or national authorities and relies entirely on the hiring income received and the full and active support of the Trustees.
The Main Hall comprises a spacious reception area and large hall with Stage, all of which are maintained to a very high standard. The room is centrally heated and complies with current regulations for disabled access, including a disabled toilet. There is ample free parking space adjacent to the hall.
A large kitchen is attached to the hall and includes a range cooker with large single oven and a five hob top. There is a new fridge/freezer, commercial dishwasher and hot cupboard, and these items have ample capacity to deal with meals for large events.
These excellent facilities are provided to local people for regular club and society meetings, including exercise classes and sports activities, as well as one off events such as Wedding Receptions, Christenings and parties for both adults and children. We are able to offer WiFi service and Hearing Loop connection.
The Windmill Room, previously called the Annexe, has separate access at the back of the hall and is currently being renovated. This will include a disabled toilet, a new kitchen area for refreshment service and upgraded lighting and heating facilities. It will now be available to hire every day for meetings and small group activities.
The Hall is fully licensed by Horsham District Council for alcohol consumption and entertainment, details of which are available at the time of booking. Under the Hallmark Standard Scheme for Village Halls we gained the award of Level 3.
