Charges Per hour for 2026
Hall Hire Information
West Chiltington Village Hall is available for hire every day of the year, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year’s Day.
Standard hire hours are from 08:00 to 23:30, by which time all hirers must vacate the premises and ensure it is securely locked.
- Both halls are fully licensed for alcohol consumption and entertainment, and the venue holds a music licence.
- Capacity limits must include all attendees, including event staff and helpers.
- Tables and chairs are provided and included in the hire charge.
- Hirers are responsible for ensuring the room is returned to its original condition at the end of the booking.
- Standard terms and conditions apply to all bookings.
For individual (one-off) bookings, a refundable damage deposit is required. This will be returned after the event, provided the room is left in good condition.
Main Hall
The Main Hall has use of the foyer and is accessed through double doors
It can accommodate up to:
- 175 people seated in a theatre-style arrangement
- 110 people seated at tables
Capacity limits must include all attendees, including event staff and helpers.
Depending on the nature of the event, the standard hourly charges for the Main Hall—inclusive of utilities and access to the kitchen for light refreshments—are as follows:
Private non-profit bookings
£33.00 per hour
Commercial Bookings
£35.00 per hour
Registered Charity Bookings
£21.00 per hour
For certain events, additional charges may apply for the use of the piano, stage lighting, and sound equipment of £25.00
If full use of the kitchen is required, a single additional charge of £25 per booking will apply.
These charges will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Weddings
There is a set charge for weekend weddings of £670.00 which includes the Main Hall and Windmill Room for the full day 08.00 to 23.30 hrs. This charge will include the use of the kitchen and all appliances, use of the piano, stage lighting and sound.
Local Clubs/Group Users of the main hall who hire 10+ dates in a year.

If regular users require full use of the kitchen for events that are open to the public, involve all-day bookings, or include meal preparation, an additional charge of £25.00 will apply.
This includes access to the cooker, hot cupboard, and fridge/freezer.
The charge will be confirmed at the time of booking.
The Windmill Room
This smaller hall behind the main hall, has its own entrance, a small kitchen and toilet facilities
It can accommodate up to:
- 35 people seated in a theatre-style arrangement
Capacity limits must include all attendees, including event staff and helpers.
